  • Board Representation: Discussion on ensuring a balanced representation between statutory bodies and the autism community.
  • Working Group Updates:
    • Training & Workforce Development: Progress on autism training for professionals; awaiting cost estimates for implementation.
    • Engagement: Piloting an adult questionnaire and improving communication with the autism community.
    • Data Collection: Plans to improve autism data collection within local authorities and health services.
    • Diagnostic Pathways: Reviewing access and post-diagnosis support, with plans to finalize recommendations by early 2019.
  • New Education Working Group: Created to address issues within SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
  • Autism Strategy Development: Draft in progress; feedback requested from members to refine objectives and implementation.
