The current Plan for Norfolk County Council’s Adult Services is out of date and they have been asked to update this to reflect the current difficulties experienced by those in Norfolk.
The Strategy is currently made up of three Priorities:
- Benefiting from prevention and early help – How we help people stay well and independent in the place they call home.
- Being, and staying, independent for longer – How we are effective and provide timely support for people to live independently, avoid losing independence, and where possible gain it back.
- Thriving with multiple and complex needs – How we recognise that some people might need a higher level of support with many aspects of their daily life in the long term.
To update their plan Adult Social Services have held several engagement activities and would like the views of autistic people:
- They are understandable
- The Language is clear
- They have not missed anything.
This Focus group will allow you to help answer these questions and let Adult Social Services know if they have missed something important.
What will we do together?
We will be joined by Rachel Grant (Police Manager, Adult Social Services) who will give a short presentation on activities carried out already and what you can expect from Adult Social Services before asking for your feedback.
