Tier Two Understanding Autism Training
The Norfolk Autism Partnership has co-produced a tier-two training package for professionals working with autistic individuals.
This course is delivered by a trainer alongside an autistic individual and follows the core capabilities framework.
We can deliver this training on-site to your staff and include a course information booklet for each attendee upon completion
This course consists of:
- Know your responsibilities as a member of staff when supporting autistic children, adults and their families
- Understand the range of differences autistic people can face and how to support them, including sensory and communication/interaction needs
- Understand complexities around co-occurrence of autism and common mental health conditions
- Learn strategies to support life transitions and employment
- Know where to find further information and guidance
The training uses multimedia such as video and sound clips alongside activities to illustrate the course content.
